That the Parliament warmly congratulates the pupils and staff at Twynholm Primary School on achieving its UNICEF UK Silver Rights Respecting School Award (RRSA); understands that this achievement comes after the school demonstrated good progress towards embedding children’s rights in its policy, practice and ethos, as outlined in the RRSA strands and outcome; notes that to achieve Silver, the successful participants are assessed by one of UNICEF UK’s professional advisers, who look at the whole school’s rights respecting work; acknowledges that the accreditation is valid for three years and understands that the children and young people see themselves as rights respecting global citizens and advocates for fairness and children’s rights, both locally and globally, and wishes them continued success as they strive for the Gold award in the coming years.
