That the Parliament congratulates The Duchess of Rothesay on officially naming HMS Glasgow, a state-of-the-art Type 26 anti-submarine frigate, at BAE Systems’ shipyard in Scotstoun, Glasgow, on 22 May 2025; recognises what it sees as the significance of this event as a milestone in Scotland’s proud shipbuilding tradition; commends the skilled workforce at BAE Systems for their dedication and craftsmanship in constructing this advanced naval vessel; acknowledges what it sees as the economic and cultural importance of the shipbuilding industry to Glasgow and Scotland; expresses appreciation for the Royal Navy’s continued partnership with Scottish industry, and wishes HMS Glasgow, her crew, and all who sail in her strength and success in serving the United Kingdom.
