NHS Grampian Achieves UNICEF Baby Friendly Gold Award

That the Parliament congratulates NHS Grampian’s maternity services, which have been accredited with the UNICEF Baby Friendly Initiative Gold Award; understands that this award follows a robust UNICEF assessment and demonstrates that teams within the NHS board have been maintaining Baby Friendly Achieving Sustainability standards for at least two years; further understands that NHS Grampian has previously gone through reaccreditation in 2022 and 2023 and that, in order to achieve the gold award, staff, mothers and management were all audited, along with a portfolio of evidence; believes that this achievement shows commitment from the NHS board leadership and staff to continue to provide future generations of babies, mothers and families with high-quality care and support; commends the efforts of all staff across NHS Grampian’s maternity services, and wishes them all the best for the future.
