That the Parliament notes the end of an era with the closure of the shop owned by Norman T Craig, which is a long-standing retail premises of a family-run business in the heart of Haddington that specialises in carpets, vinyl, furniture and upholstery; recognises that the shop has been a fixture on the High Street since 1969, with its origins on Sidegate dating back to March 1967; thanks Norman and the team for being a valued part of Haddington’s retail and community life for over five decades, and wishes Brian Craig, the family and team well as the business continues to operate from a premises in nearby Caryle Court.
