That the Parliament congratulates Busby Lawn Tennis Club in Eastwood on raising almost £8,500 of funding to support a children's cancer charity and considerably exceeding the initial aim of generating a total of £1,000; understands that the tennis club raised the funds as part of the Young Lives v Cancer charity's tennis-a-thon initiative, and that Busby members participated in a 12-hour tennis marathon to generate the financial support; further understands that the club also organised a bake sale and that this raised funding of £1,500 to contribute towards the total amount; acknowledges that, through the tennis-a-thon event initiative, a key aim of Young Lives v Cancer was to ensure that every action on the tennis court, from serve and volley to rally, would contribute towards helping children and young people who have received a cancer diagnosis; recognises that the exact amount raised by Busby Lawn Tennis Club now stands at £8,468, and congratulates everyone involved with the Eastwood sports club on such an impressive and inspiring effort.
