That the Parliament congratulates Sam Grove-White on making his men’s Six Nations debut as an assistant rugby referee; understands that Sam, from Montrose in Angus, officiated at the Italy versus Wales match in round two of the rugby championship at the Stadio Olimpico in Rome; notes that he started playing rugby as a youngster with Montrose Rugby Club before beginning his professional rugby refereeing journey in 2014, while studying at the Robert Gordon University in Aberdeen; understands that, over the years, he has travelled the globe officiating at the World Rugby Sevens Series in Hong Kong and the Tokyo Olympics in 2021, before moving onto XVs matches in various different competitions, and also at international level, and wishes Sam all the best as he continues his refereeing journey, and working towards the men’s Rugby World Cup in 2027.
