That the Parliament congratulates The Northern Scot on being named Newspaper of the Year at the Highlands and Islands Press Awards 2025; acknowledges what it sees as the newspaper's role as a trusted voice for the Moray community, providing well-presented and impactful storytelling; commends the dedication and hard work of its staff, including Daniel Forsyth, who was named Photographer of the Year, and Lewis McBlane, who received the Reporter of the Year award, and recognises the commitment of The Northern Scot to highlighting local issues and serving its readers with excellence.
