That the Parliament recognises the recent celebration of St Andrew’s Day that occurred at Larbert High School; understands that a lot of hard work by both pupils and staff was put into making this event a success, and resulted in a passionate celebration being delivered alongside local members from Age Concern Larbert and Stenhousemuir who attended for the special afternoon tea; notes that there was wide involvement throughout the school, with various departments taking part, including piping and drumming from the Music department, BGE Art and Design, Hospitality, Technologies and pupils from the Additional Support Centre; understands that the event generated awareness of the Age Concern charity and the recent new collaborative partnership between the school and Age Concern as part of the Developing the Young Workforce programme; congratulates Larbert High School on the success of its St Andrew’s Day celebration event, and commends it for its collaboration with the local branch of Age Concern Scotland.
