  • Submitted by: Clare Haughey, Rutherglen, Scottish National Party
  • Date lodged: Thursday, 10 October 2024
  • Motion type: Standard Motion
  • Motion reference: S6M-14875
  • Current status: Fallen

That the Parliament welcomes the 18th edition of the Scottish Mental Health Arts Festival, organised by the Mental Health Foundation; notes that 2024’s overarching festival theme is In/Visible, to encourage exploration of how the arts can be used to make mental health more visible, challenge stigma and support people to live mentally healthier lives; further notes that the festival programme includes a range of events across Scotland in October, including workshops and events in the Rutherglen constituency, and commends the festival for its efforts to provide a platform for people to create and share work that challenges perceptions of mental ill health, and make health-promoting connections within local communities.
