Udston Primary Wins Scotland’s First OPAL Award

That the Parliament congratulates Udston Primary School on achieving its Outdoor Play and Learning (OPAL) Award, having rejuvenated its playground and outdoor equipment, encouraging children to learn new skills and make new friends through play; recognises that the OPAL Awards, administered by Play Scotland, is a school improvement programme targeting non-curricular play that supports sustainable cultural change within schools and transforms the quality of their playtime, and understands that the programme has had huge benefits for pupils, teachers and parents alike.
