Aberdeen Mum, Lee Donald, Conquers Mount Everest after Gruelling Expedition

  • Submitted by: Liam Kerr, North East Scotland, Scottish Conservative and Unionist Party.
  • Date lodged: Monday, 24 June 2024
  • Motion reference: S6M-13755

That the Parliament congratulates personal trainer, Lee Donald, on successfully scaling the 8,848.86-metre Himalayan peak, Mount Everest; notes that, while completing her journey, Lee raised over £6,000 for the north east cancer charity, Friends of Anchor, whilst raising awareness of mental health issues; further notes that Lee has two children and wanted to inspire them and others to believe in themselves; understands that Lee’s fear of heights and exercise-induced asthma made the challenge even more difficult, and wishes Lee all the best in her future endeavours.
