That the Parliament commends the joint project between the Bridge of Don and District Men’s Shed and Forehill Primary School, set to take place during the spring holidays 2024; understands that this project will see a polytunnel installed at the Forehill Primary School’s playground, with the intent of getting children interested and involved with seeding flowers, fruit and vegetables, as well as looking after them; further understands that, once the polytunnel is installed, there will be competitions for the children to participate in the future, such as the best flower planter, the tallest sunflower and the best wild meadow flower patch; recognises what it sees as the importance of intergenerational work for communities across Scotland, and wishes Bridge of Don and District Men’s Shed and Forehill Primary School well for their upcoming project.
