NHS Western Isles Macmillan Team Wins Whatever it Takes Award at Macmillan Professionals Excellence Awards

That the Parliament congratulates the NHS Western Isles Macmillan team on winning the Whatever It Takes award at the Macmillan Professionals Excellence Awards; acknowledges that these awards recognise Macmillan professionals who show extraordinary effort, adaptability, innovation, compassion and an outstanding contribution to cancer services; understands that the Whatever It Takes award category showcases unsung heroes who have "truly gone the extra mile" in their standard of care; believes that NHS Western Isles Macmillan team has stepped up since the COVID-19 pandemic to ensure that local services are developed to meet the changing needs of the islands’ population, with a new seven-day service introduced to ensure that the team of expert nurses’ advice and support is always available, and thanks all members of the NHS Western Isles Macmillan team for continuing to provide their support and compassionate care at such a high level to the local Western Isles’ population.
