During dissolution, there are no MSPs and no parliamentary business can take place.

Parklands Care Homes Celebrates 30th Anniversary

That the Parliament congratulates Parklands Care Homes on its 30th anniversary; understands that Parklands was founded in 1993 by Ron Taylor following his experience as a carer for his grandfather; notes that Parklands now employs over 760 people across the north and north east and cares for almost 400 residents; acknowledges the care and dedication of those care professionals who work tirelessly to ensure their residents get the most out of life; welcomes Parklands’ recent acquisition of Weston View in Keith and Wakefield House in Cullen; understands that this ensures continuity of care for almost 70 residents and safeguards around 80 jobs across the two homes; further understands that Parklands is committed to investing further in the Highlands, Moray and Aberdeenshire; congratulates Parklands on, it understands, introducing a £12 per hour rate for frontline carers in April 2023, and wishes founder, Ron Taylor, and his team continued success as they mark this important milestone.
