Lanarkshire Butcher Wins Haggis World Championship

That the Parliament congratulates North Lanarkshire butcher and owner of Cooper Butchers in Bellshill, Laura Black, on winning the Haggis World Championship; notes that Laura lifted the coveted trophy at the Scottish Craft Butchers Trade Fair in Perth earlier in May 2023; understands that she managed to fight off competition from almost 70 other Scottish hopefuls, with head judge, John Wilkin, senior lecturer in food science at Abertay University, describing this 40-year-old family recipe as "near perfection".
