That the Parliament congratulates Hope Ralston and Forth Ports Grangemouth on being named as finalists in the Scottish Apprenticeship Awards 2023; understands that the Scottish Apprenticeship Awards were launched to celebrate the best in-place work learning available throughout Scotland, showcasing competent apprentices from a variety of sectors, whilst also recognising the organisations and individuals who support them; acknowledges that Hope Ralston, a constituent of Falkirk East, is a finalist in the Supporting Net Zero Apprenticeship of the Year category, which celebrates the commitment of apprentices who are supporting and working towards Scotland’s climate change targets and net zero by 2045 ambitions; notes that Hope, an apprentice at Forth Ports and student at Forth Valley College, was nominated for her work on electrical engineering maintenance; further notes that Forth Ports Grangemouth is a finalist in the Supporting Net Zero Employer of the Year category, which celebrates the commitments of large and SME employers who contribute to maintaining Scotland’s net zero emission goals; congratulates both Hope and Forth Ports Grangemouth on being named finalists at the Scottish Apprenticeship Awards, and wishes them well at the awards show on 8 March 2023 during Scottish Apprenticeship Week 2023.
