That the Parliament welcomes the announcement that nominations for the North East Scotland Food and Drink Awards 2023, which will take place on 8 June 2023, are now open; understands that nominations for 12 different categories, including Best New Product, Best Distilled Product and Best Young Business, are open until 1 March 2023; recognises the contribution to the north east and wider Scottish economy that food and drink retailers in the North East Scotland region make; understands that the region’s food, drink and agriculture sector employs more than 22,000 people and accounts for more than 20% of Scotland’s food and drink output; commends all the businesses, large and small, that successfully navigate the opportunities and challenges of today's market to produce healthy, sustainable and premium products, and encourages all eligible businesses to apply.
