That the Parliament congratulates AGS Airports, the second largest airport group in the UK, on winning two awards at the Scottish Transport Awards; understands that Aberdeen International Airport was named Airport of the Year at the awards, while the Project CAELUS (Care and Equity – Healthcare Logistics UAS Scotland) consortium led by AGS Airports, in partnership with NHS Scotland, won the Excellence in Technology and Innovation award; commends Project CAELUS for securing £10.1 million funding from the Future Flight Challenge at UK Research and Innovation (UKRI) to deliver what it understands will be the UK’s first medical distribution network using drones; understands that the project, which brings together 16 partners across a range of sectors, will help to facilitate the transport of essential medicines, bloods and other medical supplies throughout Scotland and rural communities, and commends Aberdeen International Airport, which, it understands, supports thousands of jobs and contributes more than £2 billion in GVA to the UK economy every year, on coming through a challenging COVID-19 pandemic while ensuring a high standard of service delivery for passengers.
