  • Submitted by: Jackie Dunbar, Aberdeen Donside, Scottish National Party.
  • Date lodged: Tuesday, 04 October 2022
  • Motion reference: S6M-06129

That the Parliament congratulates Jeanette Forbes OBE, CEO of Blue Gentoo, for becoming a finalist for the Net Zero Business of the Year award by leading her company away from traditional energy sources and introducing disruptive technologies to address hydrate accumulation in pipelines, therefore reducing chemical usage and greenhouse gas emissions for operators; understands that Women’s Enterprise Scotland introduced the award to recognise the accomplishments of many of the women-led businesses that have adapted well to the various challenges that it believes they have faced as of late, and to serve as powerful role models for other women who wish to pursue their own entrepreneurial dreams, and commends Jeannette Forbes OBE and the employees of Blue Gentoo for leading what it sees as positive environmental change in the industry and inspiring others to follow suit.
