Scotland's Climate Week 2022

  • Submitted by: Stephanie Callaghan, Uddingston and Bellshill, Scottish National Party.
  • Date lodged: Tuesday, 27 September 2022
  • Motion reference: S6M-06033

That the Parliament celebrates Scotland’s Climate Week 2022, which commences on the 26 September 2022 and will run through to the 2 October; understands that Scotland's Climate Week is a Scottish Government initiative, with support from across Scotland’s communities and organisations, celebrating and encouraging climate action throughout the country; appreciates that the campaign aims to inspire organisations to encourage employees, families, communities, customers and stakeholders to discuss climate action, and to prompt the important steps everyone can take to help tackle the climate emergency; notes that the Scottish Government has created a content plan for climate week to help plan re-sharing of content directly from their channels, or to inspire individuals and organisations to create their own, and applauds the success of every community climate initiative across Scotland, including in Holytown, which is one of seven Climate Action Towns, where Architecture and Design Scotland is supporting place-based climate action in small Scottish towns.
