Deanburn Judo Club Raise £1,000 at Kiltwalk 2022

That the Parliament congratulates Deanburn Judo Club, which is based at the Community Education Unit in Grangemouth, on completing the Kiltwalk 2022 and raising over £1,000; understands that the club raised the money to fund 20 of its members to compete in the upcoming British Judo Council Championships 2022, which are to be held in Kettering on 20 November 2022; commends the 15 members of Deanburn Judo Club who successfully completed the Edinburgh Kiltwalk 2022 on 18 September 2022, whereby one member completed a 24-mile course, one member completed a four-mile course, and 13 other members completed the 13-mile course; notes that the Kiltwalk initiative organises mass walking events, which, it understands, offer a platform to fundraising for Scottish charities and projects, with The Hunter Foundation increasing the money raised by those fundraising for Scottish charities by an additional 50%; congratulates Deanburn Judo Club on the completion of the Kiltwalk 2022 and for raising £1,000 for the upcoming competition, and wishes all involved every success at the British Judo Council Championships 2022 in November.
