Inchgarth Community Centre Receives £150,000 National Lottery Community Funding

That the Parliament congratulates Inchgarth Community Centre, based in Garthdee, Aberdeen, having successfully applied for £150,000 of funding from the National Lottery Community Fund; understands that the Centre will receive £50,000 a year over three years, which will be used to sustain staffing costs, employ an additional member of staff, assist in developing its support programme in the short-term, and help deliver its long-term target of extending the Centre's building; recognises the vital role played by the Centre in the Garthdee and wider Aberdeen communities by delivering over 150 activity sessions each week; notes that the Centre has received commendations, including the Queen's Award for Voluntary Service; commends the manager, Paul O'Connor MBE, staff and volunteers for all their hard work at the Centre; thanks the National Lottery for selecting what it sees as this very worthy funding recipient, and passes on its best wishes to all involved for continued success in the future.
