That the Parliament congratulates Troon resident, Frances Carson, who runs Muirhead Tenants and Residents Association, after she scooped the top prize at the Tenant Participatory Advice Service, National Good Practice Awards 2022; understands that the now leader of the town’s community council, steered her group through the COVID-19 pandemic and provided a lifeline to residents in crisis; further understands that Frances ran a food bank from her home and organised volunteers to help families unable to feed themselves; commends her work, for which she was given the Alan Ferguson Award for Tenant/Resident Champion at a ceremony in Clydebank in June 2022; notes that the Muirhead Tenants and Residents Association were also recognised with a runners-up award in the Tenant Participation Champion Group category, and wishes Frances and the group well for the future.
