As an amendment to motion S6M-04815 in the name of Liz Smith (Economic Priorities), insert at end "; believes that the Scottish Government’s inability to build up Scotland’s economic strength is reflected in the failure of projects, including the promise of 2,000 new jobs for Lochaber, the collapse of BiFab, and the non-delivery of core connections, such as the lifeline ferries promised to island communities and the superfast broadband that businesses in rural and remote Scotland need; further believes that the Scottish Government has not fully capitalised on economic and revenue-raising opportunities, including by capping bids for ScotWind options, and calls on the Scottish Government to explain how it will drive up Scotland’s capacity to raise revenue in the face of the reported real-terms cut of 16% to enterprise agencies and tourism, and of 8% to Scotland’s universities and colleges."
