Inverclyde Gymnastics Club Celebrates Belated 30th Anniversary

  • Submitted by: Stuart McMillan, Greenock and Inverclyde, Scottish National Party.
  • Date lodged: Monday, 16 May 2022
  • Motion reference: S6M-04402

That the Parliament congratulates Inverclyde Gymnastics Club on celebrating its 30th anniversary, albeit belatedly, due to being delayed for two years as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic; understands that the Night at the Movies party at the Beacon Arts Centre in Greenock featured performances from around 120 gymnasts aged between five and 16 years old, as well as a charity raffle for attendees, with money going to Ardgowan Hospice and Garvel Deaf Centre; commends owner and coach, Christine Anderson, on her commitment to providing gymnastics classes for young people in Inverclyde, as she estimates more than 1,000 children have walked through the gym doors over the past three decades, and wishes Inverclyde Gymnastics Club all the best for the future.
