Scott Morrison, Sub Post Master's Farewell

  • Submitted by: Clare Adamson, Motherwell and Wishaw, Scottish National Party.
  • Date lodged: Friday, 13 May 2022
  • Motion reference: S6M-04377

That the Parliament recognises that Scott Morrison, Sub Post Master of Craigneuk, will be closing the doors to the Post Office on 17 May 2022 for the final time, marking the end of an era for the Morrison family; understands that the Post Office has been in the family for over 45 years, where his mother, Christine, was Post Mistress for 30 years, with Scott taking over as Sub Post Master; further understands that the Post Office has been a place where locals not only went to pay bills, collect their benefits or hand over parcels, but was seen by many as a place of friendship and source of advice, where both Christine and Scott went above and beyond for the residents of Craigneuk; commends the Morrison family for their dedication and commitment to the community of Craigneuk, and wishes Scott all the best with the future.
