Parliamentary questions can be asked by any MSP to the Scottish Government or the Scottish Parliamentary Corporate Body. The questions provide a means for MSPs to get factual and statistical information.

To ask the Scottish Government whether it or its agencies have conducted an independent audit of the claimed central estimate of a £20 billion finance gap for nature contained in the Finance Gap for UK Nature Report, published by the Green Finance Institute in October 2021, in light of it subsequently being quoted in Scottish Government communications.

To ask the Scottish Government, in light of Lord Braid's opinion on the judicial review of the City of Edinburgh Council's short-term lets licensing policy, whether it plans to (a) repeal the Civic Government (Scotland) Act 1982 (Licensing of Short-term Lets) Order 2022 and Civic Government (Scotland) Act 1982 (Licensing of Short-term Lets) (Amendment) Order 2023 and (b) instruct local authorities to reimburse any short-term let operators that have applied for a licence, whether it was granted or not.
