To ask the Scottish Government what the cost has been to the public purse of the Cardonald GP walk-in clinic in each week of its operation and, in this period, how many people (a) attended the clinic, broken down by the number of subsequent referrals made to (i) hospitals and (ii) other NHS services, and (b) did not get treatment, due to them being registered at a GP practice not covered by the clinic.
Answer
NHS Greater Glasgow & Clyde will be allocated up to £2.6 million in 2026-27 for the Cardonald walk-in service. Attendance figures for the Cardonald walk-in service are published by Public Health Scotland monthly, for the month prior. Further, more detailed, information should be requested from the health board.

To ask the Scottish Government how many people it anticipated would be (a) seen and (b) treated at the Cardonald GP walk-in clinic during its first year of operation, and what its position is on whether this will be achieved, based on the latest attendance figures.
Answer
When submitting their proposal for the walk-in service, NHS Greater Glasgow & Clyde estimated that the Cardonald walk-in service would have capacity for 483 appointments per week. This is a new service, rolled out cautiously and carefully for patient safety. Lower patient numbers in the early stages are not unexpected and should not, on their own, be seen as a measure of success or failure.
