To ask the Scottish Government whether it has undertaken an analysis of the anticipated impact of the forthcoming deposit return scheme on local authority kerbside collections, and whether it will publish the findings of this.
Answer
The analysis undertaken to date includes assessment of a range of impacts on local authorities from the introduction of a deposit return scheme. The outputs of that activity will inform the scheme design and will be published in due course as part of the Full Business Case.

To ask the Scottish Government what discussions it has had with the Crown Office and Procurator Fiscal Service on the establishment of an MP/MSP email and telephone enquiry point of contact.
Answer
The Lord Advocate is the head of the system of prosecution and investigation of deaths in Scotland. The Crown Office and Procurator Fiscal Service (COPFS) fulfils prosecution and investigation functions which fall within the Lord Advocate's responsibility.
Elected representatives may write to the Lord Advocate and Solicitor General at 25 Chambers Street, Edinburgh, EH1 1LA or by emailing them at [email protected] The Law Officers’ Private Office manages correspondence received from elected representatives, ensures that the correspondence is referred to the appropriate COPFS function and, where possible, that a response is issued within 20 working days.

To ask the Scottish Government what action it can take to ascertain how many people have epilepsy, in light of figures not being held centrally.
Answer
As part of the development of the National Action Plan on Neurological Conditions, we commissioned NHS Information Services Division (ISD) to help establish better prevalence data on neurological conditions. This work was taken forward under the Scottish Burden of Disease study and ISD estimate that, in 2016, approximately 44,000 people were living with epilepsy in Scotland. It should be noted that this figure remains an estimate and we are committed, through the National Action Plan, to work with ISD and others to improve data on neurological conditions.

To ask the Scottish Government whether it plans to introduce a legal right for victims of crime to challenge parole board decisions.
Answer
The Scottish Government consultation 'Transforming Parole in Scotland', which was published on 19 December 2018, seeks views on whether there should be a new review and appeal procedure. The consultation closes on 27 March 2019 and we will await the outcome of that before deciding how to proceed.
