To ask the Scottish Government what estimate it has made of the reported increase in revenue made by the alcohol industry since the introduction of minimum unit pricing.
Answer
NHS Health Scotland are leading a wide ranging evaluation programme over the next five years which includes exploring the impact minimum unit pricing has on the alcohol market. It is too early to assess the impact of minimum unit pricing on alcohol consumption, revenue and profit.

To ask the Scottish Government what discussions it has had with the UK Government regarding the implications of the European Withdrawal Act 2018 for publicly-owned and operated ferry services.
Answer
Scottish Ministers and officials are engaging with the industry and with the UK Government to ensure that Scottish interests are well represented in discussions being led at Westminster.
Discussions with the UK Government have included the implications of the Withdrawal Act for subsidised ferry services and we have regularly stressed the need to avoid negative impacts on lifeline services – and Scottish shipping in general.

To ask the Scottish Government what progress has been made with the Heart Disease Improvement Plan since 2014, and what plans it has to refresh the plan.
Answer
The number of new cases of coronary heart disease (CHD) has decreased by 27% between 2007 and 2017. Even more importantly, the mortality rate has also decreased by 40% in the last 10 years. This indicates that the Scottish Government’s Heart Disease Improvement Plan (HDIP) (2014) for tackling heart disease is delivering real improvements.
The Plan has been the cornerstone of the work of the National Advisory Committee on Heart Disease (NACHD) and progress has been achieved in all the priority areas.
The Scottish Government will consider whether it is necessary to refresh the Plan in 2019.

To ask the Scottish Government what steps it is taking to monitor (a) uptake of and (b) outcomes from cardiac rehabilitation, and whether it will consider participating in the National Audit of Cardiac Rehabilitation.
Answer
Cardiac rehabilitation is a priority in our Heart Disease Improvement Plan (2014). Work is currently underway with Health Boards, to implement an assessment needs cardiac rehabilitation model with intervention, that will be based on need and choice, providing an individualised programme of care.
The Scottish Government is taking forward work on a pilot project with a number of Health Boards including NHS Highland, to support participation in the National Audit Cardiac Rehabilitation (NACR) to improve the monitoring of cardiac rehabilitation and care of patients.
