To ask the Scottish Executive what measures it is taking to improve the health of the people of Scotland.

The Scottish Governmenthas policies and programmes in place to tackle Scotland’s biggest health challenges – including alcohol, smoking and healthy weightmanagement. Action includes anticipatory care approaches to prevent ill health,such as the Keep Well programme.

The Better Health,Better Care discussion document sets out the Scottish Government’s prioritiesfor improving health and wellbeing and we will publish our Action Plan by the endof this year.
