To ask the Scottish Executive how many new full-size football pitches have been built since 2003.
Answer
Since 2003, the Executive, throughsportscotland, has supported the development of a number of new full-size footballpitches including those at the Greenfield Football Centre in Glasgow and the SpartansCommunity Football Academy in Edinburgh. However, the provision of football pitchesis a matter for local authorities and the footballing authorities and the Executivedoes not maintain a record of football pitches in Scotland.

The total number of businessesassisted by the Intellectual Asset Centre (IAC) to help protect their assets is927, broken down by financial year as follows:
