Questions and answers

Parliamentary questions can be asked by any MSP to the Scottish Government or the Scottish Parliamentary Corporate Body. The questions provide a means for MSPs to get factual and statistical information.

  • Written questions must be answered within 10 working days (20 working days during recess)
  • Other questions such as Topical, Portfolio, General and First Minister's Question Times are taken in the Chamber

To ask the Scottish Government, in light of reports that the Department for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs may have contingency plans for a mass-cull of livestock in the event of a no-deal Brexit, what its understanding is of the impact of a no-deal Brexit on the sheep industry in Scotland, and what information the UK Government has shared with it about its plans to deal with that impact.
