To ask the Scottish Executive how much of the electricity generated in Scotland has been (a) consumed in Scotland and (b) exported to England and Wales in each year since 2000.
Data on electricitysupply and demand in Scotland is collected by the Department of Trade andIndustry (DTI). The most current data available are for years 2000-05. The followingtable presents electricity generated, consumed and transferred expressed in GigaWatthours (GWh).
