Parliamentary questions can be asked by any MSP to the Scottish Government or the Scottish Parliamentary Corporate Body. The questions provide a means for MSPs to get factual and statistical information.

  • Written questions must be answered within 10 working days (20 working days during recess)
  • Other questions such as Topical, Portfolio, General and First Minister's Question Times are taken in the Chamber

To ask the Scottish Executive how many homes in the (a) local authority, (b) social rented and (c) private rented sector fail to meet the Scottish Housing Quality Standard and what action is being taken, and within what timescale, to bring these homes up to the Scottish Housing Quality Standard.

To ask the Scottish Executive how much (a) was spent on repairing, renovating, building and otherwise improving Glasgow City Council’s housing stock in each of the five financial years before wholescale housing stock transfer and (b) has been spent by Glasgow Housing Association in each year since transfer expressed in totals, categories and expenditure per unit.
