Parliamentary questions can be asked by any MSP to the Scottish Government or the Scottish Parliamentary Corporate Body. The questions provide a means for MSPs to get factual and statistical information.

  • Written questions must be answered within 10 working days (20 working days during recess)
  • Other questions such as Topical, Portfolio, General and First Minister's Question Times are taken in the Chamber

To ask the Scottish Executive whether it is considering proposing amendments to the Criminal Justice and Licensing (Scotland) Bill to bring Scots law into line with clause 14 of the Policing and Crime Bill for England and Wales, which is directed in particular at the problem of trafficking and will make it a strict liability offence to pay for sex with someone who is subjected to force.
