The data cannot be disaggregated to show items prescribed by GPs alone. The GIC data for the minor ailment service is a subset of the total cost of items dispensed in the community.

Information on the estimated cost for 2014-15 is not available.

The 2014 Healthy Living Survey, published in June 2014, shows 96% of schools are delivering at least two hours physical education in primary schools and at least two periods in secondary schools, in S1-S4. With the new school term having started in August 2014 that figure is expected to increase to 98%, which demonstrates remarkable progress since 2004-05 when less than 10% of schools were meeting this target.

Education Scotland continue to work with local authorities and schools to make progress towards meeting the target. Physical education statistics for the 2015 Healthy Living Survey will be collected in February and published in June 2015.

Yes I can confirm that the provisions set out in Part 5 of the UK Children and Families Act 2014 refers to the regulation of retail packaging etc. of tobacco products including cigarette wrappers. This includes the definition of packaging in subsection 15: “packaging”, in relation to a tobacco product, means—

(a) the external packaging of that product,

(b) any internal packaging of that product,

(c) any wrapper of that product, or

(d) any other material attached to or included with that product or anything within paragraphs (a) to (c).

All NHS boards carry out an annual survey of patient satisfaction with hospital food. The results are collated by Health Facilities Scotland (HFS) to provide a view for NHS Scotland. The most recent results were collated in November 2014.

Results of the patient satisfaction surveys are not published, but where low or falling scores are registered, HFS develop an improvement plan with the board in order to raise patient satisfaction. As part of the hospital food and nutrition improvement measures announced last month, the Scottish Government will be reviewing inspection and public reporting on the quality of food, including considering how patients’ views are best reflected and reported.

The Drug and Alcohol Information System (DAISy) will replace two existing data collection systems: (a) the Scottish Drug Misuse Database (SDMD) that collects SMR25a/b and (b) the Drug and Alcohol Treatment Waiting Times database. It will also gather information on alcohol treatment and outcomes which is not currently collected.

DAISy will be made available to all Alcohol and Drug Partnerships (ADPs) and specialist services to facilitate data collection. It is not expected to replace all local systems in use by ADPs and services. A facility will be provided where data can be uploaded from these local systems to DAISy to prevent double data entry.

Roger Livermore has written to the Scottish Government several times regarding health and safety legislation in NHSScotland.

He has received five substantive replies and three more informing him that the Scottish Government had nothing further to add to previous responses.

Mr Livermore did not raise any new points in his letter of 14 September 2014 and a reply was sent to him informing him that any future correspondence sent on the same subject would be put on file with no response being issued.

If he raises new points, a substantive reply will be sent.

The Scottish Government welcomes the Joint Committee on Vaccination and Immunisation’s (JCVI) consultation on its interim findings in relation to human papillomavirus vaccination for men who have sex with men. These JCVI findings are interim only at this stage. The Scottish Government will carefully consider the final advice from the JCVI once this is available, following the committee’s consultation.

<>In April 2012, the Scottish Government published a methodology paper describing the pilot application of Programme Budgeting and Marginal Analysis in Scotland, using 2007-08 data. Section 4.2 of this document contains information on the estimated costs of cancer services. We are hoping to publish updated programme budgeting analysis, based on 2011-12 data, in 2015.

As part of the A9 Keir to Luncarty study, a detailed survey of traffic movements was undertaken in October 2012. This provided an understanding of all traffic movements approaching the roundabout, including details of turning traffic to/from the A9 to the M9. An additional queue length and duration survey was undertaken on the A9 southbound approach in September/October 2013.

No detailed traffic modelling has been undertaken by Transport Scotland of Keir roundabout. However, as part of the A9 Keir to Luncarty study, details of the junction and the traffic using it have been included in the economic evaluation model of improvements between Keir and Perth.
