Questions and answers

Parliamentary questions can be asked by any MSP to the Scottish Government or the Scottish Parliamentary Corporate Body. The questions provide a means for MSPs to get factual and statistical information.

  • Written questions must be answered within 10 working days (20 working days during recess)
  • Other questions such as Topical, Portfolio, General and First Minister's Question Times are taken in the Chamber

To ask the Scottish Government whether it will implement single-dose perioperative intrabeam radiotherapy to replace 15-session postoperative radiotherapy in the treatment of breast cancer in women as is routine in the US, France, Germany and Australia.

To ask the Scottish Government what action it is taking regarding concern expressed by the NHS Pay Review Body in its report, Scotland Report 2015, regarding low rates of appraisals and to respond to its observation that "There is a pressing need for the NHS in Scotland to manage and apply the agreed pay progression arrangements properly through the application of a simplified Knowledge and Skills Framework in order to ensure that pay progression is linked to competency development and performance, as was intended within Agenda for Change."
