Parliamentary questions can be asked by any MSP to the Scottish Government or the Scottish Parliamentary Corporate Body. The questions provide a means for MSPs to get factual and statistical information.

  • Written questions must be answered within 10 working days (20 working days during recess)

To ask the Scottish Government whether Aberdeenshire Council's invitation to tender for new mental health service provision across Aberdeenshire references preventative measures and includes a crossover from the current commissioned services to the new provision and whether it considers that not doing so could lead to people deemed "low risk with a possible risk of elevation" being unable to access existing support in the area.

To ask the Scottish Government, in light of the comment in its news release of 12 January 2016, Mental health funding, that it would "improve capacity to see people more quickly...redesign local services to make them more efficient, effective and sustainable [and] improve workforce supply and train existing staff to deliver services for children and young people, as well as psychological therapies for all ages", what its response is to reports that some mental health services in NHS Tayside are facing closure.
