To ask the Scottish Executive, further to the answer to question S4W-05593 by Kenny MacAskill on 28 February 2012, which bodies received resources from the national programme of materials and how much these cost in each year of the campaign.
Answer
As stated in the answer to question S4W-06145 on 19 March 2012, a range of materials have been provided for local partners in those areas involved in the initiative. These include local councils, youth centres and workers, schools and the police.
The allocation of these resources is determined by local needs and is based on a fair and even split of the centrally held budget between those areas involved with the initiative. The budget for 2009-10 was £250,000, £250,000 for 2010-11 and £500,000 for 2011-12.
