To ask the Scottish Executive whether it made any formal submissions to the UK Government in respect of its pending White Paper on energy and, if so, when such submissions were made and what points were raised.
Answer
The Executive is engaged withthe Department of Trade and Industry on various workstreams which will feed intothe UK Government’s energy white paper. We have responded formally to the UK Government’sconsultation on its proposed policy framework for new nuclear build. Our responsehas been published on the Executive’s website:

Answer
The numbers of households onwaiting lists for each local authority are published on an annual basis for 2000-01onwards in the quarterly Scottish Executive Statistical Bulletin (Housing Series)

Glasgow City Council has so far claimed £16,424,514 from the ScottishExecutive under the Glasgow Housing Association (GHA) Owner Occupiers Grant in orderto provide financial support, on a means-tested basis, to 2592 owner occupiers tohelp them meet the costs of common works being carried out on their properties aspart of GHA’s investment programme.

To ask the Scottish Executive what additional revenues it will receive from HM Treasury in each of the next five years as a result of the announcements made in the Chancellor of the Exchequer’s pre-Budget report on 6 December 2006.
Answer
The Scottish Executive receivedaround £16 million for 2006-07 and 2007-08, as a result of the Chancellor’s Pre-BudgetReport on 6 December 2006. The report also provided indicative 2007 ComprehensiveSpending Review (CSR) consequentials from settlements for a small number of WhitehallDepartments, which will form part of the overall CSR2007 settlement for Scotlandto be announced in summer 2007.
The following table sets outthe resulting allocations over the next five years:
