To ask the Scottish Executive how many people applied to enter teacher training in each year since 1999 and how many were accepted, broken down by (a) gender, (b) ethnic background and (c) disability.
The following tables below havebeen provided by the Universities and Colleges Admissions Service (UCAS). Includedare applicants and acceptances to Scottish Higher Education Institutions for undergraduatestudy in the subject of Education. Most of these applicants will enter teacher trainingcourses. Comprehensive application and acceptance data on entrants to PGCE coursesare not held centrally.
