To ask the Scottish Executive what measures it is taking to ensure that all people who are eligible for free travel under the concessionary travel scheme can use their entitlement.
Answer
To be eligible for theScotland-wide free bus scheme for older and disabled people, people must applylocally for an entitlement card. We are working with local managers to ensurethat current concessionary card holders do so. In addition, we will shortly belaunching Scotland-wide publicity to reinforce the message and to encourage non-cardholders to apply.
To help people to use theirentitlement we will ensure the needs of visually impaired users are taken intoaccount when looking at the practicalities of using the entitlement card.

To ask the Scottish Executive what facilities are available for women’s drug rehabilitation services.
Answer
It is for local drug action teamsand partners to design and deliver services for drug misusers, tailored to meetlocal needs and priorities. Information provided by drug action teams through corporateaction plans for 2005-06 shows that there are 65 non-residential servicesacross Scotland which have facilities specifically for women. Residentialfacilities available for women’s drug rehabilitation include those providedthroughout Scotland by the Aberlour Child Care Trust for women and theirchildren who have a dependency on drugs or alcohol.
Criminal Justice disposalssuch as Probation with a Condition of Treatment and Drug Treatment and TestingOrders are also available for women offenders with substance misuse problems.

To ask the Scottish Executive what plans it has to increase the funding available to NHS Ayrshire and Arran to tackle drugs misuse.
Answer
Ayrshire and Arran NHS board receive £1,153,781 for drug treatment and rehabilitation services per annum. If additional resources are made available in the future the specific allocation to Ayrshire and Arran will be considered along with those for the rest of Scotland.

To ask the Scottish Executive what discussions it has had with NHS Ayrshire and Arran regarding the availability of drug rehabilitation services in the area.
Answer
NHS Ayrshire and Arran is a keypartner in Ayrshire and Arran’s Alcohol and Drug Action Team (ADAT). The ADAT submitsannual Corporate Action Plans to the Executive detailing past performance and plannedaction across a range of national priorities, including the availability of drugtreatment and rehabilitation services. The Executive provides written feedback backto the ADAT.

To ask the Scottish Executive how much it has spent in the current financial year on funding rehabilitation treatment for female drug addicts.
Answer
It is not possible to disaggregatefunds spent on the basis of gender. However, in 2004-05, the most recent year forwhich figures are available, 33% of new individuals accessing drug treatment werewomen, according to the Scottish Drug Misuse Database.
