Answer
The Food Standards Agency, including its office in Scotland, reports directly to Ministers of the Scottish Executive and is required to meet the same Service Standards as the Scottish Executive.I have been advised by the agency that although an item of correspondence has recently gone unanswered, this has now been rectified and the agency has apologised publicly and is reviewing its internal procedures.
