Parliamentary questions can be asked by any MSP to the Scottish Government or the Scottish Parliamentary Corporate Body. The questions provide a means for MSPs to get factual and statistical information.

  • Written questions must be answered within 10 working days (20 working days during recess)
  • Other questions such as Topical, Portfolio, General and First Minister's Question Times are taken in the Chamber

To ask the Scottish Executive how many women attending accident and emergency departments on each day from 19 February to 4 March 2011 disclosed, as a result of the gender-based violence action plan, that they were abused by a partner and how many indicated that they (a) had or (b) had not reported the abuse to the police, broken down by NHS board.
