To ask the Scottish Executive whether it would recommend that Scots should consume less meat in order to reduce greenhouse gases.
Answer
The reduction of greenhouse gases is a complex issue. The 80% emissions reduction target set out in the recent public consultation on proposals for a Scottish Climate Change Bill will require action to be taken by all parts of society to contribute to the delivery of that target.
