Education, Children and Young People Committee

Protection of Vulnerable Groups (Scotland) Act 2007 (Applications for Removal from List and Late Representations) Amendment Regulations 2021 (SSI 2021/379)

Meeting date: 8 December 2021

The practical effect of the change seems to be that we go through the same process but in a timeous manner that enables people to have a chance in their lives if the process comes to a positive conclusion for them.

Meeting of the Parliament

International Day of Persons with Disabilities

Meeting date: 2 December 2021

That applies not just in debates such as this, or on the international day of disabled people tomorrow, but every day. 13:38 I congratulate Pam Duncan-Glancy on securing this timeous debate—she is a force to be reckoned with, and thank goodness.

Meeting of the Parliament (Hybrid)

Fisheries Negotiations 2021

Meeting date: 10 November 2021

As the talks surrounding 2021’s catch agreements were concluded only in the summer, it is a cautiously hopeful sign that the negotiations for 2022 seem to be proceeding in a more timeous manner, with agreements for pelagic stocks having been signed at the end of October.

Health, Social Care and Sport Committee

Transvaginal Mesh Removal (Cost Reimbursement) (Scotland) Bill: Stage 1

Meeting date: 2 November 2021

We hope that, as Covid is reduced, we will get more theatre access and be able to treat those women in an appropriately timeous manner. Good morning, everybody.

Meeting of the Parliament (Hybrid)

Covid-19 Regulations (Scrutiny Protocol)

Meeting date: 5 October 2021

As members know, it is my view that information should always be provided to the Parliament in as timeous a fashion as possible. Members may wish to know that in the previous session of Parliament, a protocol was put in place with the Scottish Government to confirm the processes for the scrutiny of Covid measures and the information that would be provided...

Meeting of the Parliament (Hybrid)

Points of Order

Meeting date: 29 September 2021

However, it is, of course, extremely important that members and committees be provided with information to enable scrutiny in a timeous manner. I will review the information that has been provided, and I will return to the chamber if I consider that a further ruling is appropriate.

Meeting of the Parliament (Hybrid)

North Sea Oil and Gas

Meeting date: 15 September 2021

However, where I differ from the approach of some members of the Government is around the most effective and timeous way in which we can achieve that crucial goal.

Meeting of the Parliament (Hybrid)

Reserved Board Seats for Islanders

Meeting date: 7 September 2021

Unfortunately, too often a lack of clear, timeous communication and information leaves passengers disillusioned.

Meeting of the Parliament (Hybrid)

Justice System

Meeting date: 10 June 2021

It might seem to members that commercial cases in the Court of Session are not something that we should bother about, but we should bother about them. Such cases often require timeous action, too. A pursuer might have a choice of jurisdiction in which to bring a substantial court case.

Meeting of the Parliament (Hybrid)

Greensill Capital

Meeting date: 18 May 2021

How will the Government keep us informed of any developments in a timeous manner? Clare Adamson, who is the local constituency member, is right to emphasise the need to work collaboratively and collegiately across the chamber.
