Decision on Taking Business in Private

Welcome to the 17th meeting in 2008 of the Standards, Procedures and Public Appointments Committee. As usual, I ask everyone present to switch off their mobile phones and BlackBerrys. I have received one apology, from Jamie McGrigor. I take it that Christina McKelvie is on her way. In any event, we will crack on.

Under agenda item 1, I seek the committee's approval to take agenda item 3—consideration of our work programme—in private. Such items are usually taken in private, as they involve discussing the relative merits of the different aspects of the committee's work. Do members agree to take that in private?
