Deputy Convener

Item 3 is our choice of deputy convener. I have been informed that the post should fall to Mary Scanlon MSP. Is there any other view? [Interruption.] Is Mr Dornan trying to shout something at me?

I was whispering something to you, as was your clerk.

I beg your pardon; I should have referred to Mary Fee.

I admit that what you said was a surprise to me. There are too many Marys.

The Convener

There are too many Marys and I had just mentioned Mary Scanlon. I apologise to Mary Fee; perhaps I should have let Graeme Dey take over.

Does the committee support the nomination of Mary Fee?

Mary Fee was chosen as deputy convener.
