Item 2 is our choice of convener. The Parliament has agreed that only members of the Scottish National Party are eligible for nomination as convener. I understand that Bill Kidd is the party’s nominee for the post. Do colleagues agree to choose him as our convener?

Bill Kidd was chosen as convener.

No seconder is required and I congratulate Mr Kidd on his appointment. We do not need to change chairs, so it is over to him.

I thank Mary Scanlon for helping us to see democracy in action; she chaired the meeting extremely well.
